the semester is winding down

Hi. I tried to update yesterday, but then I got sidetracked for a really long time and didn't feel like it anymore. I still don't feel like it, but I will.

So ... last week I finished my 20-page paper. It was only 16 pages, but 20 was the maximum. It weighed me down terribly the whole week before it was due, but once I got going writing it, I felt much better. And now it's done, which means I've completely forgotten about it.

Now all I have to do is my Hebrew test on Monday! I'm not worried about it. It's multiple choice, and I'm good at that. Plus I've been studying some. I find that helps.

This year, and probably this year only, graduating exegesis students don't have to take comprehensive exams. This is good news for someone like me who just wants to be done. However! We have to fill out an MA candidacy form for this year so we can graduate under this year's catalog. I didn't know this until yesterday. I thought it was going to be a big pain trying to fill it out and get all the necessary signatures, but it turned out all the people I needed signatures from were miraculously available when I went to look for them, so it didn't take long at all. So now I'm official.

I had a yummy Middle Eastern lunch today. It was for one of the library staff people, who is leaving to go be a missionary with his wife in the Middle East, which is where he grew up as a missionary kid. That doesn't mean he was out there on his own as a kid being a missionary. It means his parents were missionaries. So anyway, it was good. I think I'll try to get my family to go to a Middle Eastern restaurant when I go home for Christmas. I still like Indian better, though.

I am looking forward to having my brain back. It has been disintegrating the last couple of weeks due to all this schoolwork and sleep loss.

I started reading a book on logic today, which made me happy. Maybe I will continue reading it until it's finished. That would almost be a paranormal phenomenon.
