The past two weeks I have tried someone else's life on for size. I have been social and physically active. Very unusual. My friend John came to town last week to see our friend Dan before he and his wife moved to Texas, so I tagged along whenever he went to see people. This turned out to be almost every night.

I also tagged along with him to the gym. Becoming more active was on my list of post-graduation goals, but I couldn't get myself motivated. Plus the gym itself intimidated me, being the nonathletic person that I am. So John was my entrance. John's entrance was his car accident last year, which broke his leg, among other things. As a result he gets to do lots of excruciating physical therapy. It is not fun to watch. The first time I saw him wincing away on the leg machines, I told him it looked like he was having surgery without anasthesia. But then the next time we were there, it reminded me of some heroic, epic battle. I think that's a lot closer to what I was watching. So anyway, I'm going to try to make a habit of this gym thing. I could say a lot more about it, but I'll save it for some other time.

Then this week my friend Cam arrived from Mexico, where he's been a missionary for the past two years. Now he's taking an indefinitely long break to see what he wants to do next. This week what he wanted to do was evidently to stay at my house and go visit his friends in the area, mostly people from our old church. That's what I wanted him to do, too, so it all worked out. :) But I've had enough of the go-out-every-night lifestyle, so tonight I'm staying home. Yes, I know it's Friday. I think maybe I'll make more of an effort in the future, though, to see people more often.

And! Now that Cam's here I can play FF9 again! He told me not to finish it before he got here, so I put it on hold. But my brother came over on weekends to play it, and he was getting ahead of me in the plot. >:< This is a situation in need of rectification!

I'm starting to think about my website again. I will probably put it up sometime in the next couple of months.
