my new job and stuff

I've been terribly negligent. I will update you.

Two and a half weeks ago I started my new job. I like it. It has variety, and I always feel like I'm doing something that matters. And I get to read fairly interesting things all day. I've also been writing a little and coding in Perl for them. I feel useful. And my work ethic there is much better than it ever was at Wheaton.

I had my interview with IVP, but they told me they had four strong candidates, and they ended up offering the job to someone else. But I wasn't disappointed. I would have been happy either way. It was kind of a relief, actually, because I wasn't looking forward to pulling myself away from Livingstone. It's a nice place. I like the people there as well as the work.

The same day I had my IVP interview, Monday the 9th, my friend Cam came to visit for a week and I got DSL! I've never had high-speed Internet at home before. Now I can zip giddily around the Internet. It's soooo great! Oh, and it was fun to see my friend, too. :)

Now I'm busy getting my website ready. I'm almost there! If only my domain would resolve.

Oh! And I got my new library card! The first thing I checked out as an official GEPL member was The Dilbert Principle on tape.
